Monsieur Jean-Paul

Jean Paul Guernier is an oyster farmer in the bay of Veys, a wide estuary where four rivers flow to irrigate the natural regional Park of Marais du Cotentin and of the Bessin.

This passion was passed on to him by his father-in-law, Georges Quetier, pioneer of oyster farming in Normandie. Jean Paul joined him in 1985 and took over the production management a few years ago.

Monsieur Jean Paul Guernier's oysters come from one of the most important bays in Europe for oyster farming: the "Baie des Veys" famous above all for the beaches that were the protagonists of the "Normandy landing" of American troops during the Second World War. In this bay, oysters of high quality and much appreciated have been raised for generations. Monsieur Jean Paul's oysters are Gold Medal in Paris in 2004 and 2007 in the “Speciales de Normandie” category.
